The class
WHAT IT IS
Women's self defense at Labyrinth BJJ Wharton is built on the Brazilian jiu-jitsu taught at every Labyrinth gym. Jiu-jitsu is a grappling art: leverage, position and control rather than strength or size, which is why so many people start with it for self defense, and why a smaller person can learn to deal with a bigger one.
If you have never trained, or you simply have questions about what to expect, call or email us. Your first class is free, with no commitment.
Labyrinth BJJ is ranked in the top 1% of academies nationally on jits.gg (#39 of 7,869, as of September 24, 2026). That is the whole Labyrinth team's record, not Wharton's, and it is the school this class belongs to.
